My ACL wrap up...a few days late

Sadly... no pictures of Jake Gylenhall or local "celebrities." The only real time we spent out there was Saturday night with Aimee Mann, String Cheese Incident and a little Willie. Nelson, that is. But, big bonus was time spent with Lisa and Michael, a duo I truly enjoy and rarely get to spend time with. My favorite thing, a carry-over from last year... wine in a squeeze bottle. If you know me, or read my blog, you know I love me some red wine. I can get this at ACL - true I am paying $24 for a $8.99 bottle of subpar red wine, but I CAN GET WINE! Only to be enjoyed once dusk sets in.

1st day of a new school

Xander just started a new school this week. We were a little worried about moving him from his other daycare because he had been there since he was two months old. So far though, the move has been good. The new place (Montessori House of Children) has been great for Xander. Though he has only gone two days, they have already figured out how to get him down for a nap (due to Paula's advice - put him to sleep before anyone else) and he has developed an attachment to the two young men (god I sound old, but they ARE younger than me) who work there, which is great considering the lack of male role models in his life.

The best part? We went shopping for a new wardrobe. After all, new school year, new clothes! Thankfully X-Man is very, very patient with me at times. He actually modeled a couple of the new outfits for his other mommy. He even twirled for me. God love him.

Barracuda

He is a biter. As demonstrated. I was taking pictures of him in his purple crocs and caught this one too. Paula's scream could be heard down the block. I included the croc pic too.
