Becoming Friends

The relationship between Xander and Lucy is acrimonious at best. He throws things at her, she snaps at him. However, she can't stay away from him because he often gives her food. Today they seemed to come to some sort of detante in the front yard. Lucy was laying down and Xander went to sit beside her. Is this a breakthrough or is it because she was hoping he would give her one of the animal crackers in his hand? Who knows! But it was cute.

Therapy

I've had a lot going on in my life lately that ain't so great. I have done therapy before and really didn't like it, so I am trying a new approach - Gardening. Not only do I get a means to relax, enjoy nature and take stock of my life, but I also get food out of it. Hopefully the food part will happen! I do still promise my sister that I won't enjoy gardening too much or talk about enjoying it too much. Keely - I promise, it is purely for the food. :)

Spring Break doings...

Xander and I went to the movies for the first time together since he was 4 months old. Like that time, we chose Alamo Drafthouse Baby Day to attend the movies. Unlike last time, I tried to see a movie a kid might really like to see (though there may be some out there who would have enjoyed "Sideways"). We saw most of the "The Bridge to Terabithia." I say most because X actually lasted longer than I thought...*SPOILER ALERT* However, he started the "I am so tired I will be screaming now" thing about 15 minutes before the movie ended and just as one character dies. SOOOO...I have no idea what happened. It could have been sad, especially if I wasn't distracted by a screaming toddler. He did really well though. I think I will take him back before another 2 years have passed. Maybe. Before the movie, we did our daily trek to "Barbucks" as X calls it and then went down to Town Lake where it looked like they were busy setting up some SXSW stages.
